Opossums- are rat tailed mammals. They are white or gray in color and have long pointed faces. Their bodies are the size of house cats with canine fangs.

Opossums are nocturnal and are omnivorous some of their favorite foods are plants, animals, fruits, grains, insects. They can transmit diseases such as roundworm (parasite), murine typhus, and rabies. On their body they carry mites, ticks, fleas, lice, conenose bugs (blood sucking parasites) and other nibbling insects.
